Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. The service
MyLegalLetters provides AI-assisted drafting of legal correspondence (complaints, responses, notices and letters before action), optional solicitor review, and related delivery services. We are a legal-technology platform, not a law firm. We provide general legal assistance and AI-drafted correspondence — this is not formal legal advice. Where a solicitor review is purchased, the review is carried out by a qualified solicitor engaged directly by MyLegalLetters on a freelance or contract basis, solely to review and verify your letter. No solicitor-client relationship is created between you and the reviewing solicitor, and the review does not constitute legal advice or an assessment of the merits of your matter. If you need legal advice, consult a solicitor of your own choosing.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the facts you provide. Drafts are only as reliable as the information you give us.
- You must review any letter before it is sent. Approval is your confirmation that the content is accurate and that you want it sent.
- You must not use the service for unlawful, harassing, defamatory or fraudulent purposes.
- You must be 18 or over, or have a parent/guardian act for you.
3. Payments, wallet and credits
- Prices are shown per jurisdiction and include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe.
- Letter credits and wallet top-ups (including bonus credit) can be used for MyLegalLetters services and are not redeemable for cash.
- Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; you can cancel anytime from your dashboard and keep unused credits and wallet balance.
- Because letters are bespoke digital content produced to your instructions, the 14-day cooling-off right is lost once you approve a draft for delivery. Undelivered or failed sends are re-credited.
4. Quality scoring and AI limitations
Quality scores and legal-position analyses are automated assessments to help you decide; they are not guarantees of outcome. AI can make mistakes — always read your letter carefully before approving.
5. Delivery
We deliver letters by the method shown at checkout (email, post or both). "Proof of postage/delivery" reflects our records and the carrier's confirmation. We are not responsible for delays caused by recipients, carriers or incorrect recipient details you supply.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the outcome of your dispute.
7. Intellectual property
You own the final letter you approve and pay for. You may not copy or resell the platform, its templates library, or its tooling.
8. Accounts
Keep your credentials confidential. We may suspend accounts involved in fraud, abuse or chargeback misuse.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you additional rights.
